IELTS

Important information in IELTS test

  • IELTS test is scored on a scale of 0 – 9. Minimum score of at least 6 bands for UG & 6.5 bands for PG is required. Different countries and courses will have different IELTS overall and individual requirements. Please check with the counselor at The Abroad Campus, A Unit of Embark Overseas Pvt. Ltd.
  • The listening, reading, and writing components are completed on the same day, with no breaks.
  • The speaking component can be completed up to a week before or after the other tests.
  • Students get the venue details for reading, listening, writing, and speaking a week or few days before the test. The student has to keep a check on the same. Student can check the venue details either by calling IELTS or checking constantly on the IELTS student account.
  • Test result for paper-based is available in students' IELTS account on 13 working days and in the next few days the official TRF will be available to download. Test result for computer-based will be available in 3 to 5 days in the student's IELTS account. The TRF can be downloaded from the IELTS student login.
  • Academic and general test scores both are valid for 2 years.
  • The student can register for the test online or via The Abroad Campus, A Unit of Embark Overseas Pvt. Ltd.
  • The fees payment can be done by debit card / credit card / ICICI challan.
  • The frequency of the IELTS test is 3 to 4 times in a month for paper-based and almost 20 plus times for computer-based. Check with the counselor for the test date availability.
  • The test fee is INR 16,250/- plus INR 150 for card payment charges.
  • IELTS cancellation fee is INR. 2,325.

  • If the required test result does not come then the student has to book the test date again, subject to test date availability.

Section 2: 38 questions to be answered in 50 to 55 minutes. Student can use calculator allowed.
